Shab e Miraj 2023

This year, Shab e Meeraj / Isra and Meraj 2023 is expected to be on the night of Sunday, February 16, 2023. However, exact date is subject to sighting of moon of Rajab, 1443.

The Night Journey, also known as Shab e Miraj, Isra and Miraj is observed on 27th day of the month of Rajab (7th month of Islamic Calendar). Shab e Miraj literally translates to "The Night of Ascent". This event celebrates the night when the Prophet (S.A.W.) ascended to the Heavens from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah. One of the great gifts of this night was that obligatory Prayer (Fardh Salah) was instituted on Muslims.

Shab e Barat 2023

This year, Shab e Barat 2023 is expected to be on the night of Tuesday, March 7, 2023. However, the exact date is subject to the sighting of the moon of Shaban, 1444.

Shab e Barat is an important night in the Islamic calendar and it is celebrated in the mid of Shaban (on the night in between the 14th and 15th of Shaban). This is the reason why it is called Nisf Shaban. This blessed night starts at sunset on the 14th of Shaban and ends at dawn on the 15th of Shaban.

Laylat ul Qadr 2023

As we all know that Laylat al Qadr is one of the odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadaan, therefore This year, Laylat al Qadr 2023 is expected to be observed on Monday, April 17th. However, exact date is subject to sighting of moon of Ramadaan, 1444.

Laylat al Qadr (لیلة القدر) is an Arabic world which means Night of Power.

 

Ramadaan is the holiest month for all Muslims around the world and Laylat Al Qadr is the holiest night of Ramadan which signifies the importance of this night. As mentioned in the beginning, this night is better than a thousand months and worshiping on this night is better than eighty-three years of worship. 

Eid ul Fitr 2023

This year, Eid ul Fitr 2023 is expected to be celebrated on Friday, April 21, 2023. However, exact date is subject to sighting of moon of Shawwal, 1444, 10th month of Islamic Calendar.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of holy month of RamadanEid al Fitr is Allah's reward for believers who have fasted during the holy month of Ramadan. This is also believers thanking Allah for giving them the chance and the strength to carry out His commands during the blessed month of Ramadan. Traditionally, Eid al Fitr is celebrated for three days almost in all Muslim countries.

Hajj 2023

Rituals of Hajj 2023 will commence from the evening of Monday, June 19, 2023 and will continue till the evening of Thursday, June 29, 2023. This is the tentative date as the actual date is contingent on the sighting of the moon of Dhul Hijjah, 1444, the 12th and last month of Islamic Calendar.

Eid ul Adha 2023

Eid ul Adha 2023 or Bakra Eid 2023 is expected to be celebrated on Thursday, 29 June, 2023. This is the tentative date as the actual date is contingent on the sighting of the moon of Dhul Hijjah, 1444, the 12th and last month of Islamic Calendar.

Eid ul Adha is a festival celebrated among Muslims all over the world in remembrance of the sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) made out of his strong faith in Allah.
